May 13, 2013 · No Comments · second grade

From Ms. Chisler:

2.11 The student will identify George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller, Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr. as Americans whose contributions improved the lives of other Americans.

The 2nd grade students at Victory Elementary School took their Social Studies benchmark test last month. As they like to say, “They rocked that test!” The students really enjoyed learning about famous Americans. The students intently read everything they could about George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Susan B. Anthony, Helen Keller, Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr. They were amazed at the accomplishments of these individuals and they are very grateful for all of their hard work and dedication. After months of studying, the students were ready to go back in time and interview these outstanding Americans.

The students really enjoyed using the digital voice recorders. Be sure to check out their interviews!
